# **Ahmed El Joghrafi:**
### “I love the Valk motto of always striving for a 10. That’s in my nature too.”
## Logistic Team Leader Expedition: Ahmed’s story
I’m Ahmed, Expedition Logistics Team Leader at Van der Valk Systemen in Monster. My role is quite difficult to sum up in just one sentence.
## “We’re the first and last point of contact.”
First of all, my colleagues and I are responsible for picking orders for smaller items. Once all the larger items for an order are ready, we check everything and wrap it securely for dispatch. This means we’re involved with every lorry that arrives to load or unload, and we’re the first and last point of contact for the drivers.
Stock management is another important part of my role. It’s all about making sure stock levels are accurate and that every item is available in the right quantity and in the right place.
## From handwritten notes to automation
I used to do this job on my own, but our team has grown considerably over the years. The work has changed a lot, too. We used to rely heavily on handwritten notes, whereas now we work with barcodes and many processes are automated.
As the business continues to grow, we’re also constantly looking at how to use our space as efficiently and professionally as possible.
## “I feel right at home here.”
I’ve been doing my job for a long time and still enjoy it just as much. I genuinely feel at home here. I’m always on the move, and I can’t imagine sitting at a desk all day. I also get on well with everyone. I like Valk’s philosophy of always striving for a perfect 10. That’s something I believe in, too.
The atmosphere here is great. I’m always happy to help new colleagues who are still learning the ropes. After all, the stronger they are, the stronger we are as a team.
