## Account Manager New Business: Léon's story
My name is Léon and I work as a New Business Account Manager for the Benelux region at Van der Valk Solar Systems.
## “From 50 to 160 colleagues in just eight years.”
I joined Van der Valk Solar Systems in 2016, working within the Van der Valk Systemen organisation. Back then, our Horti and Solar divisions had a team of around 50 people. Just over eight years later, we’ve grown to a team of 160 enthusiastic colleagues who are committed every day to supporting our customers and delivering the highest standards of quality and service.
## “My working days are incredibly varied.”
My working days are very dynamic, and no two days are the same! One day I might be giving a presentation at Circuit Zandvoort, while the next I could be exhibiting at a trade show or visiting new and existing accounts. And that’s just a small part of what my role involves.
## “Van der Valk Systemen is a friendly, down-to-earth company.”
I organise my own working days, in consultation with my Inside Sales colleagues. Together, we act as the eyes and ears of our region, quickly identifying opportunities and responding to them. Seeing projects go from initial designs to reality and welcoming new customers gives me a real sense of pride.
Why Van der Valk Systemen? Simple: it’s a friendly, down-to-earth company. We achieve things together, and everyone is treated as an equal. Every other year, we organise a ski trip in our own time for all our national and international colleagues who want to join. How great is that?!
